Hot Tub Time Machine (2010)

Someone rated this Three cans of Chernobly out of a six-pack and thought it better than Hangover.

I thought it was pretty funny and better than that. I'd go so far as to say it is probably the best possible movie that could be made with that title. Set your expectations for art, and you won't find a lot. Set for low-brow, pop-culture time clash and it does well. Start off with Chernobly: when does this movie take place? 2010 and 1986. When did Chernobyl have it's disaster? 1986. No wonder the Reds watching ski patrol were so alarmed.

Hangover was okay, but given the reveal at the end, I don't think I could ever watch it again (or it's sequel) and enjoy it as much. This one seems like it could bear repeated viewing, particularly with an eye towards catching all the little references. I didn't notice the SNL hot tub skit that imdb mentions, for example.

I was hooked after the catheter scene.
